UNIVERSAL TESTING MACHINE (UTM), Model M2-30

1) Switch “ON” Distribution Board (bottom left).
2) Transformer: Knob Change over (bottom left), any place except “0”. Please check 220V, 50 Hz, 3-Phase.

3) Transformer: Push “ON” output switch (right side of the knob)
4) UTM power switch “ON” (front side of the black control box).

In case of an emergency situation please use the “Emergency” switch to stop the machine.

5) Please check Safety condition (Proximity/Upper &

Lower Limit Switch).

The upper limit switch should remain the same as it is fixed. The lower limit switch should be adjusted. It will differ

between Tensile and Bending/Compression tests. For

compression tests, it may be needed to adjust due to sample height.

Recommended place for Tensile Test for safety reasons (as right-side photo).

Recommended place for both Bending and Compression Tests for safety reasons (as right-side photo).

6) Start the PC.
7) Software on by double clicking on “TestOne” on the

PC monitor. A new screen will appear.

8.1)  Select Method of Testing [Tensile / Compression / 3-

Point Bending]. After method selection, a new screen will appear.

8.2)  Select the number you want to test [Normal / Series]. “Normal” is for 1 test, and “Series” is for up to 10 tests once.

We recommend selecting “Normal”. Press “Test No”.

9) After method selection (as above 8.1) a new screen will appear. You have to input different test information there. please note at least “Test No”, “Sample No” and “Gauge length” are essential.

For the Tensile test please select “Type” [Round / Flat / Tube etc.]. Input the height and thickness of the sample, it will measure the area automatically.

Thereafter press “APPLY”.

10) Check test conditions:

Click “Range”, and this screen will appear.

For Tensile Test:
