Since birth, our vision is declining. Your vision at age 2 was higher than at age 10. This subtle change in vision is usually not noticed unless you have an eye exam. Although vision loss is inevitable with age, there are ways we can take care of our eyes.


A few simple exercises every day will relieve your eye stress in a wonderful way. Due to looking at different types of screens like smartphones, computers, TV, etc all the time, our eyes get a lot of pressure. So doing these exercises is very important.

Close your eyes. Close your eyes and do this exercise with the help of your fingers. That’s why:

1. Close your eyes

2. Place a pair of fingers on the eyelids

3. Then press lightly for 2 seconds

4. Do this 5 to 10 times

5. After exercise, open your eyes slowly so that your eyes can easily adapt to the outside light.

Roll your eyes:

Do eye-rolling exercises for eye care. What to do for this:

1. Round the eyeball from the left side and bring it back to the left

2. Do this 5 to 10 times

3. Now rotate in the opposite direction i.e. to the right

4. Do this 5 to 10 times

Look to the side:

We often look out of the corner of our eyes or squint at the people around us. Do this for eye exercise. Do this exercise without shaking your head-

1. First sit or stand up straight for this exercise

2. Try to look as far ahead as possible (without straining the eyes).

3. Hold the gaze like this for 5 to 10 seconds

4. Now look left without moving your head, look as far left as possible

5. Wait for 5 to 10 seconds

6. Likewise look to the right

7. Wait for another 5 to 10 seconds.

8. Do the exercise at least 10 times.

10. Eat carrots.

During World War II, there was a story about a skilled fighter pilot named John Cunningham of the British Royal Air Force who flew fighter jets in the dark of night to attack the enemy. He used to eat carrots so he developed this keen eyesight. Everyone called him ‘cat eyes’.

Although this is an old story, in fact, doctors say that carrots contain effective ingredients for improving eyesight. Carrots are rich in vitamin A, vitamin A will help improve your eyesight.

Vitamin A, C, E:

If you don’t want to eat carrots or other vitamin-rich foods then you must take these vitamin-rich capsules. These vitamins will not restore your eyesight but will prevent it from getting worse. Experts believe that vitamins A, E, C, and zinc are very effective in maintaining good eyesight.

Use sunglasses that protect against UV rays: Intense sunlight and its accompanying ultraviolet rays can cause serious damage to your eyes. These rays cause a lot of damage to the cornea including damaging the eye tissue. For this reason, don’t forget to wear sunglasses whenever you go out in the sun.

Work in the right amount of light:

When you work or study in insufficient light, your eyes are strained. This results in pressure on the eyes. On the other hand, working in excessive light is also harmful to the eyes. This can cause eye damage. Always try to work in sufficient light to reduce the pressure caused by these changes in light.

Keep the brightness of your computer monitor right:

Now is the age of technology. Computers are used almost everywhere. Maybe you have to work on the computer for hours at a time because the constant staring at the computer monitor affects your eyesight. To avoid this effect, you should keep the brightness of your computer monitor at a tolerable level. It will automatically adjust the brightness of your computer monitor during the day and at night. As a result, the impact on the eyes will be reduced and the burning of the eyes due to prolonged work will also be reduced.
